What replaces EMA and how do you get it?

Ok so they have scrapped EMA for students 2011/12, but i've read that there is a new scheme that has been put into place, my mum only makes �5200 a year so shes on minimum wage. Does this mean that I have the right to the benefit from the scheme? If so how do I get it?
